Vreemd koersverloop van First Cobalt. Begin januari met hoge omzetten naar 1,5. Nu elke dag omlaag en gisteren zelfs met 10%, staat nu bijna 1 euro. Dacht eerst kwestie van dikke vingers, of heb ik nieuws gemist?

Het maakt niet uit hoe groot die voorraad is: het is en blijft een (potentiële) nikkelmijn met als bijproduct kobalt.

Dat is 'normaal' voor dit soort juniors zonder productie.

Dus gaat de aandeelprijs omhoog als nikkel en kobalt stijgen. Ergo: long kobalt (nikkel) = long RNC.

En ja, het is heel duur om een mijn te beginnen, zeker ook voor RNC, maar dat is het eigenlijk voor alle junior bedrijven. Een junior moet eigenlijk geen mijn beginnen, dat wordt niks, ze moeten hun resource hapklaar maken en dan opgegeten worden door een senior.

Maar dat opeten door een senior is dikwijls niet zo interessant voor de investeerder van het eerste uur. De risico’s zijn talrijk en de winst is vaak veel te mager.

mja daar zit wat in. Kijk maar naar de prestaties van het cd fund van dhr. middelkoop. Hij heeft een buy en hold strategie. Gaat er uit bij een overname. Er zijn wel goede jaren, maar overall heeft ie een rendement van -20% of zo.

Precies, het juiste voorbeeld! Het blijft een moeilijke tak van sport en inderdaad wat is de juiste strategie. Wie het weet mag het zeggen. Beetje geluk komt er zeker ook bij kijken.

Ik wilde vannacht Artemis aandelen kopen, echter werden ze niet verhandeld. Ik zag bij mijn broker dat ze een trading stop hadden aangevraagd ivm het Carlow Castle project.

Ik had in een ander ouder artikel gelezen:
"Artemis expects to release another resource for the second and larger of the deposits at the end of January."

Nu is mijn vraag, waarom vragen ze een trading stop aan? Willen ze geen hoge pieken na zo een bericht? Willen ze interesse wekken? Zit er negatief nieuws achter en zijn ze bang voor een koersval? Kan iemand mij vertellen wat hier meestal achter zit?

Oke, dank je wel! Dat is duidelijk.
Ik denk dat het gaat om een hoeveelheid gevonden metaal, gezien het eerdere artikel over eind januari. Maar we zullen het vannacht zien, voor hetzelfde geld is het wat anders.

Het te verwachten nieuws gaat inderdaad met zekerheid over het Carlow Castle project, dit staat ook zo in de announces op de website van Artemis.
Handelstop kan tot woensdag duren.
Kan inderdaad zowel positief als negatief zijn.

Nog een bericht van afgelopen week:

Artemis Resources Ltd (ASX:ARV) has started building its cobalt-copper-gold resources at the Carlow Castle project in Western Australia’s Pilbara region.
The company has received its first Carlow Castle resource from Quod Est deposit and expects the next resource from the larger Carlow Castle South deposit by the end of the month.
Quod Est contains 557,000 tonnes at 1.0 g/t gold, 0.2% cobalt and 0.5% copper.
This comprises an indicated resource of 343,100 tonnes at the same grades and an inferred resource of circa 214,000 tonnes at 0.6 g/t gold, 0.1% cobalt and 0.3% copper.
Drilling returns up to 1.94% cobalt
Recent drilling at Quod Est has returned up to 6 metres at 1.94% cobalt, 4.14 g/t gold and 1.67% copper.
The deposit remains open at depth.
Artemis aims to have Carlow Castle ready and available to provide plant feed for its Radio Hill plant from July 2018.
Carlow Castle is only 30 kilometres from the Radio Hill processing plant, which is being refurbished.
Company seeks mining leases
Work has started on converting the portion of the exploration licence covering the deposits to mining leases.
Diamond drilling is planned to allow geotechnical analysis for open pit planning purposes as well as advanced metallurgical recovery optimisation and plant operating cost planning.
This is expected to begin by the end of this month.
Further targets identified
The company’s latest geochemistry program covering 50 square kilometres has also identified a large number of new high priority cobalt-gold-copper targets ready for drilling.
Upgrade works at the Radio Hill plant are progressing well.
Artemis aims to have the planned works, including the addition of a 70-100 tonne per hour gravity gold recovery circuit, completed and fully operational by the end of June 2018.
It is also undertaking studies to increase the overall annual capacity of the plant to over 1 million tonnes.
The company is also seeking a dual listing of its securities on the most senior stock exchange available to it in Canada.

Dus zal een officiële update worden over de zaken die in bovenstaand bericht genoemd worden, welke eind januari gepland stonden ten aanzien van Carlow Castle.
Nu maar hopen, dat het enkel positief nieuws is en de koers een nieuwe impuls opwaarts kan gaan geven.

Zo'n lange handelsstop betekent meestal belangrijk nieuws en heeft vaak te maken met onderhandelingen met een andere partij.

Ik zit ook te denken aan een afsplitsing of zoiets.

ondanks dat het risico op negatief nieuws zeer degelijk aanwezig is nog, baal ik, dat ik vorige week niet nog bijgekocht heb voor een derde keer......
Ik heb ermee gewacht, omdat er een downtrend was die gestaag doorging.
Maar inderdaad wat je zegt, nieuws kan wel eens erg groot worden bij een dergelijke lange handelsstop en had ik graag nog meer aandeeltjes in mijn pakket Artemis gehad ;-)
Afijn, we wachten het in spanning af!

Request for a Trading Halt

Artemis Resources Limited (ASX:ARV) (the Company) requests a trading halt to the trading of the Company’s securities until the earlier of an announcement in relation to its Carlow Castle Cobalt/Gold/Copper project or Wednesday 31 January 2018.

In accordance with listing rule 17.1 the company advises that:

1. The trading halt is necessary as the Company expects to make an announcement to the market in relation to its Carlow Castle Cobalt/Gold/Copper project.
2. The Company wishes the trading halt to last until as such time it makes an announcement to the market concerning the Carlow Castle Cobalt/Gold/Copper project or Wednesday 31 January 2018, whichever is the earlier.
3. The Company is not aware of any reason why the trading halt should not be granted.

Potential Cobalt Spin-Out

In December, UEX formed a 100% wholly-owned subsidiary, CoEX Metals Corporation ("CoEX"), which will be tasked with the exploration and development of the West Bear Cobalt-Nickel Project.

The Company previously announced on November 8, 2017 plans to evaluate opportunities to unlock the value of the West Bear Cobalt-Nickel Prospect for shareholders. Based upon the Company's evaluation and current cobalt market conditions, UEX is exploring options to enhance shareholder value by spinning out CoEX as a new company. This would occur after completion and announcement of results of the drill program. Should UEX proceed with a spin-out transaction, all or the majority of CoEX shares would likely be distributed to UEX shareholders in a process similar to that under which UEX was formed in 2001 from Pioneer Metals Corporation.

In dezelfde hoek ligt al vanaf hetzelfde moment de handel in aandelen De Grey Mining stil.
Er is dus iets aan het rommelen daar.
Dus Zwarte Ridder, ik deel steeds meer jouw gedachte!
