Men heeft dus de jongere mannen opgeroepen voor de mobilisatie. Weinigen gaven gehoor aan de oproep en de separatisten hebben de dorpen afgezocht naar jongen mannen en hen bevolen zich bij het leger aan te sluiten.
Degenen die zich niet konden verbergen zijn meegegaan onder dwang.

Het leger gebruikt deze mensen om het niet te laten opvallen dat het voornamelijk Russen zijn die bij de gemilitariseerde separatisten zijn.
