Sina is sterk bezig en noteerd nu stevig boven de 50$, ik zie ook geen redenen om daar terug onder te gaan.

correctie is bijna volledig achter de rug, en Sina heeft zich sneller hersteld dan de meeste andere Chinese bedrijven, waarschijnlijk omdat velen Sina kopen als belegging voor de Olympische Spelen.

Vandaag bijgekocht aan 42.3 $, ligt amper iets lager dan de vorige aankoop, enkel is ze wel 3 keer groter.

De hoofdreden van de redelijk grote bijkoopactie is omdat ik er zeker van ben dat SINA sterk gaat profiteren en dat doet ie nu al van de Olympische Spelen.

2e reden is omdat mijn Lenovo positie in mijn portefeuille te groot is om deze klepper nog eens bij te kopen, wat er vooral op wijst dat Lenovo het de voorbije jaren en maanden uiterst goed heeft gedaan.

3e reden is omdat ik hem onder de 50$ hem een strong strong buy vind.

SINA is known for its strong brand advertising on websites that market and target China. The Company operates five major businesses which are SINA.com (a provider of online news), SINA Mobile, SINA Community, SINA.net (search services), and SINA E-Commerce (online shopping). SINA has benefited from its strong brand and premium web content by producing impressive revenue and earnings growth the last five years.

In May 2008, SINA announced that it was starting a Chinese news site in English. In 2007 SINA obtained online broadcasting rights in China for the much coveted soccer matches of the English Premier League and Italian Series A.

SINA's stock closed down 29% from its fifty-two week high of $59.27 at $41.98 as of the close on July 22nd. Not long ago many investors watched the Chinese stock market skyrocket to new highs wishing they had owned shares in some of those companies. Now that the Chinese stock market has had a substantial decline, solid quality companies such as SINA are selling well below their fifty-two week record highs and appear to offer good value with rapid growth in a booming market and economy. The other added bonus is the likely probability of a strong appreciation of the Chinese Yuan against the U.S. dollar in the future, which would augment revenues and earnings. SINA is a brand name media company that you may want to "ad" to your portfolio.

Het valt mij sterk op dat er weinig posters in Chinese internet aandelen zitten, zoals ook waarschijnlijk niet in Amerikaanse internetaandelen.

Onlangs blijkt dat er meer internetgebruikers zijn in China dan in de USA.

Sina is één van de bekenste internetaandelen, kijk even eens terug naar zijn laatste resultaten, die waren prachtig zoals ook de vooruitzichten.

Het is nu echt de moment om in zulkse kleppers te springen, want ze zijn al aan het vertrekken.

En internet is nu en blijft in de toekomst een hot item.

Niet verstandig dat er zo weinig posters zulkse kleppers als Baidu, Sina, Sohu blijven mijden.

Het zijn deze kleppers die voor een geweldig rendement kunnen zorgen jaar na jaar.

For Q2, SINA's ad revenue ($64.9m)grew 58% y-y and 36% sequentially, while SOHU's ($41.7m) grew 53% y-y and 25% sequentially. SINA is grabbing market share in this critical space! Ad revenue is the true mark of the strength of a portal and SINA is further solidifying itself as the "go-to" portal for advertisers.

SINA will slowly but surely rise to $80 by November 2008. SINA is bigger and better than SOHU. SINA should be priced higher than SOHU, just look at both over year ago. SOHU is just temporary because of exclusivity for the Olympics; the frenzy will subside but SINA will rise to the top of the stew as it is the real deal. Long term, SINA will generate many times more revenue than SOHU. SINA will emerge as the portal leader in all of the great fast advancing People's Republic of China supporting more internet users than any other country in the world. China is great. SINA is great.

Is dit een communique van de Chinese Communistische Partij? Is de belangrijkste bron van inkomsten van SINA het verzorgen van de censuur op het internet in China?

Mja, die 15.000 dollar die ik dan maar op aanraden van 'The artist' in SINA gisteren heb bijgekocht, waren blijkbaar dan toch geen slechte zet:).

Misschien ze bijhouden tot na de Olympische Spelen en dan verkopen of heb je ander advies omtrent chinese aandelen?

Je kunt het ook positief zien:

Dit draadje is een jaar oud en gestart bij 44,50 US dollar: SINA is ongeveer tien procent gezakt. De dollar is ook ongeveer tien procent extra in waarde gedaald t.o.v. de Euro , dus alles bij elkaar verlies van om en nabij de 20 procent.

Dat is waarachtig nog net iets BETER dan:

Belgacom, KPN, Deutsche Telekom, France Telecom, Telenet, maar iets slechter dan bijv. Mobistar.

Dus goud voor : Mobistar, en zilver voor Sina om in Olympische termen te spreken.
