De eerste chip van Microsoft (Maia) is een tussenoplossing voor AI in de cloud zolang PC's en telefoons nog niet de benodigde chips hebben. De tweede chips van Microsft (Cobalt) is een CPU. Naar mijn weten moet Nvidia het meer hebben van GPU.

en dat jij je abonneert op hun berichtgevingen.

Ik heb jouw quote effe goed neergezet. ;)

Ik lees veel en neem het gewoon op om een goed beeld te houden.
Wil weergeven wat de concurrentie is en dat er wel een chipwar (ook met oa China) bezig is.
Concurrentie is altijd goed en houdt iedereen scherp!

CPU, GPU, TPU, NPU, dat vraagt om een spoedcursus (niet te verwarren met echte inhoudelijke kennis).

Bij CPU wordt gesproken over sequentiële berekeningen, bij GPU parallel en bij TPU met een matrix. De TPU schijnt van Google te komen. Voor machine learning wordt toch vaak de voorkeur gegeven aan Nvidia vanwege o.a. de eenvoudige documentatie en de (integratie met andere) software. En dan is er nog de NPU als goedkoper alternatief van de GPU.

En weer doet AMD aandeel het een stuk beter dan NVDA. Wordt tijd dat NVDA weer bijtrekt, anders toch maar wat verschuiven qua aandelen.
