DEN HAAG (AFN) - Het kabinet wil de overheidsbemoeienis op de postsector afbouwen. Dat zeggen ingewijden over de toekomst van de postmarkt tegen De Telegraaf. Naar verluidt neemt de ministerraad hier zeer binnenkort een besluit over.
Door de afnemende hoeveelheid brievenpost, staat de vijfdaagse postbezorging en het landelijk netwerk van brievenbussen en postkantoren onder druk. Daardoor sorteerde het eerdere kabinet al voor op aanpassing van de postwetgeving. De afgelopen maanden werd een dialoog met de postsector in gang gezet.
Behalve minder overheidsbemoeienis, zou volgens de krant mogelijk ook mededingingsautoriteit ACM een stapje terug moeten doen. Die stond tot nu toe samenwerking tussen PostNL en andere postbedrijven in de weg, waardoor ze hun kosten niet konden delen. Ook het kabinet zou graag zien dat dat gaat veranderen. PostNL en Sandd staan open voor samenwerking.

Eindelijk leiderschap vanuit politiek. Mooi dat hier nu eindelijk duidelijkheid over komt. Het was natuurlijk ook geen rocket-science om te zien dat de afgedwongen (gefaciliteerde) competitie is een dalende postmarkt nergens meer op sloeg.
En als PostNL dreigt overgenomen te worden komt de politiek weer in actie.
Ja dan worden ze weer wakker.

Jazeker, ik las al 'ergens' dat er een bod in voorbereiding is !!
Eindelijk komt er een beetje gezond verstand in de postbedeling .
Het mail verkeer is wettelijk en vijf dagen verplichte post bedeling door twee is te gek .
Het gaat slecht in Belgié ,en ook Duitsland .
Denk niet dat Belgié het geld niet heeft voor overname .
Hopelijk komt er zeer snel een overeenkomst .
NU moeten we het aandeel behouden en wachten .
Succes ,de spread van het aandeel in enorm .
Hopelijk komt er nu een termijn visie
Dit is echt goed nieuws. De titel kan niet mooier!
Technische conditie: De beweging vanaf 2016 is klaar. Het aandeel bevindt zich in een grote bull flag en kan bij uitbraak terug naar 5,13. Zit nu trouwens even tegen weerstand. Op de dag grafiek is een gap achter gelaten.

PostNL welcomes the recommendations of the postal dialogue and the related conclusions of the junior minister Keijzer. In the dialogue, PostNL stressed the urgency of adjusting regulation in view of the far-reaching and irreversible changes in the Dutch postal market. These recommendations are an important step to safeguard the availability of postal delivery in rural and thinly populated areas.
Herna Verhagen, CEO of PostNL: “The recognition by the junior minister that regulation should reflect the strongly declining postal market, is an important step. Adjustment of current regulation is mandatory to safeguard the accessibility and reliability of the postal delivery for everyone in the Netherlands for the years to come. Consolidation is inevitable. It is the best solution for an affordable postal delivery and to manage the volume decline in a socially responsible manner. Because of the pace of the decline of the postal market, swift political action is important. The sector will benefit from clear choices and measures that allow for consolidation.”
The report and the letter have just been published; PostNL will further review the conclusions and recommendations. Next steps will depend on the pace with which adjustment of regulations and other measures will be realised. PostNL will cooperate with all relevant stakeholders in taking the necessary next steps, carefully balancing the interests of customers, employees, shareholders and all other stakeholders.
The conclusions of the junior minister do not trigger an adjustment of the expected financial impact of the ACM measures currently. The same applies to the outlook for the underlying cash operating income for 2018 and the ambition for the 2020 underlying cash operating income for 2020.
