De VS en het VK hebben harde kritiek geleverd op het Russische verbod op de organisatie van Aleksej Navalny. De oppositieleider zelf laat op Instagram weten de strijd tegen het Kremlin voort te zullen zetten. Navalny is vastgezet in een strafkamp.
Zijn beweging werd gisteren door de rechter als extremistisch bestempeld. Leden kunnen zich niet meer verkiesbaar stellen. Eerder was de organisatie het werken al onmogelijk gemaakt.

Rusland criminaliseert elke oppositie, aldus de VS. Het VK noemt de uitspraak van de rechter pervers en verwijt het Kremlin de oppositie monddood te maken.

Joe Biden en de Russische president, Vladimir Putin, zullen op 16 Juni in een 18th-eeuwse Zwitserse villa elkaar ontmoeten. De wereldpers kijkt ernaar uit, reken maar.

32 US Trade Associations Urge Mr Biden to End Section 232 Tariffs

Coalition of American Metal Manufacturers & Users, on behalf of 32 US industry associations, in a letter of 9 June 2021 has urged US President Mr Joe Biden to terminate the Section 232 steel and aluminum tariffs and quotas on US’s national security and trade allies. They wrote “These tariffs and quotas continue to hurt small, family-owned businesses and the communities in which they built their companies, while fracturing relations with overseas trading partners and spurring a frenzy of retaliatory trade measures against both related and unrelated industries. The tariffs intended to help the steel and aluminum producing industries imposed substantial costs on a much broader segment of the US economy. The restriction on the supply of goods and raw materials resulting from the tariffs has sent a ripple throughout downstream industries, disrupting supply chains and threatening the economic security of American workers. Our members rely on the movement of their goods and inputs without constant government intervention that causes delivery delays and arbitrary price spikes. We encourage you to work with our national security and trade allies during your meetings in Europe in the coming weeks to lift the Section 232 steel and aluminum tariffs.”

They wrote “We are encouraged by your Administration's recent announcement that it will commence negotiations with the European Union to address global steel and aluminum excess capacity and an end to the Section 232 tariffs. We strongly encourage you to expedite these discussions in order to reach agreement as soon as possible to avoid further damage to the US economy and harm to the vital relationships between America and our national security and trade allies. Our businesses sustain communities and create jobs across the country that far outweigh any intended benefit of the Section 232 steel and aluminum tariffs on those two industries. To grow US jobs, we urge you to lift the steel and aluminum tariffs, negotiate the removal of retaliatory tariffs on American exports, and support innovative policies to make our businesses more globally competitive.”

Een bedrieglijk verhaal van Jimmy Dore, die zijn geld probeert te verdienen met filmpjes op You Tube en daarbij merchandize in de vorm van T shirts aanbiedt.

De gehele immigratie problematiek valt onder het Ministerie DHS ( Department of Homeland security).
Bij de Zuid grens met Mexico zijn douane beambten van HHS werkend onder de afdeling CPB ( Customs and Border Protection).
CPB houdt immigranten kinderen maximaal 2 dagen vast in afwachting van verwerking van hun asiel aanvraag.
Na de 2 dagen komen de immigranten kinderen onder een andere afdeling van DHS : ORR ( Office of Refugee Resettlement).

ORR must place them in the “least restrictive setting” possible, which often means group homes, foster care, or other facilities equipped to provide long-term childcare.
Sinds Februari, een grote toestroom van immigrantenkinderen, heeft Biden voor faciliteiten gezorgd waar de immigranten kinderen kunnen worden opgevangen, waarbij hen slaap, was, eet en recreëer gelegenheid wordt aangeboden.
De ORR onderzoekt dan de mogelijkheden om de kinderen op een geschikte plek, bij familie, adoptie ouders etc onder te brengen.

Er zijn immigranten kinderen, die langs de Douane zijn geglipt en illegaal in de US zijn. Een onderdeel van DHS (Department of Homeland Security ) ICE
(IMmigration and Customs Enforcement), kan deze kinderen opsporen, maar doet verder niets met deze kinderen. ICE brengt dee kinderen naar het ORR, die er voor zorgt dat deze immigranten kinderen op de juiste wijze worden begeleid.

Rusland viel de Krim binnen in 2014 en de G8 besloot Rusland te schorsen van deelname en werd de G7 in 2014.
In 2014 was Obama de President van de US.

Trump heeft in 2020 het voorstel gedaan zijn vriend Putin weer toe te laten bij de G7 in 2020 om er weer de G8 van te maken in 2020.
Dit voorstel is afgewezen en het blijft de G7.
