In de slotveiling op de laatste meidag voor € 9.830.028,22 aan BAMmen gedumpt.
Maar evenzo goed wordt er in dezelfde slotveiling voor € 9.830.028,22 gekocht!

Feit is dat Bam er vandaag weer eens een verlies van € 0,04 heeft uitgeperst. Daarmee zet het aandeel zijn verliesreeks trouw voort.

Ik hou het erop dat À. van Herk heeft gedumpt want vorige week zag ik op RTLZ al berichten langskomen dat van Herk in de "Retail" gaat, maar dat is slechts mijn aanname.

Multifunctionele wijk met middeldure huurappartementen

Utrecht, 31 mei 2017 - Gebieds- en vastgoedontwikkelaar AM heeft de tender Kavel 1 van de locatie NPD in Utrecht-Overvecht gewonnen. Het gaat om een totaalprogramma voor wonen, werken en recreëren met 350 appartementen verdeeld over drie gebouwen. Hiervan is het grootste gedeelte middeldure huur. Op deze locatie was de Nederlandse Pakket Dienst (NPD) gehuisvest. Belangrijke pijlers uit het winnende plan zijn ‘health’, ‘ondernemen’ en ‘kunst & cultuur’, die tezamen zorgen voor ontmoeting en inspiratie.
Programmering gericht op ontmoeting en inspiratie nu al opstarten

In het middelste gebouw, een ontwerp van NL Architects, bevindt zich de Superplint. De twee buitenste gebouwen zijn ontworpen door Paul de Ruiter Architects. LINT Landscape Interventions heeft een onder meer een ontwerp gemaakt voor de openbare ruimte, gericht op ontmoeting en waarin het winkelcentrum Overvecht wordt verbonden met de nieuwe centrumfuncties en de ecologische zone langs het water.
Gezonde inspirerende plek om te wonen, werken, en recreeren

In de nieuwe NPD-locatie zijn straks alle ingrediënten te vinden om het beste uit de gebruikers naar boven te halen. Het wordt een gezonde en inspirerende plek om te wonen, te ondernemen, te recreëren; te leven. Belangrijke pijlers uit het plan zijn ‘health’, ‘ondernemen’ en ‘kunst & cultuur’, die tezamen zorgen voor ontmoeting en Inspiratie. In het middelste gebouw bevindt zich de Superplint. De Superplint geeft ruimte aan ondernemers uit de wijk. Zij krijgen hier de kans om van start te gaan en zich verder te ontwikkelen. De Superplint is een hoge hal die voor verschillende activiteiten geschikt is, van foodtrucfestival tot een potje basketbal, van een voorleesochtend tot een bioscoop.
Horecagelegenheden

Daarnaast komen er verschillende horecagelegenheden als Kantien en Pizzaiolo030, een leerwerkrestaurant voor onder anderen pizzabakkers. De programmering begint niet pas na oplevering, maar er zullen zo spoedig mogelijk activiteiten worden georganiseerd. Binnenkort is hier dus sprake van vele levendige activiteiten.
Samen met ondernemers en bewoners van Overvecht

Passend binnen de strategie van AM en het business model ‘I AM YOU, gaat AM in gesprek met ondernemers en bewoners uit Overvecht, luisterend naar wat er leeft en een plek biedend om activiteiten te ontplooien. Een team met o.a. SKONK, Kantien, HIK ontwerpers en Sophies Kunstprojecten zal gedurende de ontwikkeling de organisatie op zich nemen.
Woonprogramma met grote binnentuin en stimuleren van ontmoeting

Het woonprogramma bestaat uit woningen tussen de 40 en 120 vierkante meter. In het programma zitten o.a. woonwerkwoningen en woonzorgwoningen. Elk gebouw heeft een grote binnentuin waar alle bewoners gebruik van kunnen maken. De binnentuinen liggen op hoogte waardoor bewoners hier kunnen genieten van de zon.

Trappen vanaf verschillende verdiepingen geven toegang tot de binnentuin en stimuleren ontmoeting. Ook is veel aandacht besteed aan de toegankelijkheid van de woningen en de binnentuinen.

BAM Starts Work On 52€m Greenwich All-Through School

BAM Construction has started work on a new 52€ million all-through school on the Greenwich peninsula.

Enabling works are underway for the new St Mary Magdalene School on the corner of Millennium Way and John Harrison Way.

Spanning two hectares, the site includes community-use sports facilities and landscaping. The school will cater for up to 1,646 children from the age of three to the age of 19 and around 200 staff once finished in 2019.

Andy Mason, BAM Construction Director, London Region, said: "This is a complex scheme that has required a lot of careful co-ordination and planning. The St Mary Magdalene School will generate lasting benefits for local education in the borough of Greenwich."

BAM Construction has been selected to convert Grade II* listed Studley Castle in Warwickshire into a holiday complex.
Studley Castle

Bourne Leisure Hotels bought Studley Castle in 2016 to turn it into its 14th hotel under its Warner brand.

BAM has begun early works on a 41€m refurbishment and restoration scheme for the 1830s country house. It will be linked via a new bedroom block and cabaret space extension to the existing stable block. The new hotel incorporates extensive leisure and cabaret facilities as well as historic rooms in the main house.

The development of the hotel is the largest investment ever undertaken by Bourne Leisure.

Jon Kiteley, BAM’s construction manager said: “Our team has been working closely with Bourne Leisure and its consultants to develop the design and construction strategy to deliver this landmark project. We now have the opportunity to deliver the redevelopment which will see the rejuvenation of this important local landmark, allowing its story to continue towards, and beyond, it’s 200th anniversary.”

Studley Castle is expected to be open to guests by the winter of 2018.

BAM signs for Dublin student digs

BAM Ireland has signed a €43m (42€m) contract to build a 296-bed student accommodation block in Dublin.

The contract with BAM and Global Student Accommodation Group (GSA) is for the construction of Uninest Mill II. The building will be next to GSA’s 400 bed flagship residence, Uninest New Mill, which is opening in September.

The construction of Uninest Mill II in Merchant’s Quayis expected to create approximately 250 jobs during construction.

The site, which received planning permission in July 2016, is well placed for students studying at Trinity College Dublin, Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland, and the Dublin Institute of Technology’s city centre campus. It is due to open in September 2018.

The residence will offer a combination of apartments and community spaces, while the ground floor is set to become a business incubation hub for start-ups, small businesses and entrepreneurs.

GSA’s head of construction Europe, Aaron Bailey, said: “This is an exciting day for GSA, as securing this contract brings us even closer to our goal of delivering 5,000 additional student beds to Dublin by the end of 2021."

McAlpine takes over at Battersea Power Station

Powys County Council has selected of BAM UK Construct as contractor for the replacement of Brecon High School.

The 25€m project will see the existing secondary school replaced with new school buildings.

Acting head of schools at Powys County Council, Gareth Jones, said: “We have reached a significant stage in this important project for secondary school provision in South Powys. Appointing a contractor means we will be able progress design and build plans and we look forward to working closely with the school and the community.”

BAM construction director Craig Allen said: “This excellent win was secured against strong competition and shows BAM’s ability to come up with the right ideas for our clients. This education scheme builds on our strong track record in Wales, where we have created award winning structures such as the Cubric building for Cardiff University.

“The scheme also carries unique and sensitive design challenges as Brecon is an international dark sky reserve so light pollution requires detailed consideration. We look forward to working closely with all of our partners and stakeholders over the coming months to develop a fantastic high school design.”

BAM lands Cranfield maintenance deal

Cranfield University has appointed BAM FM to deliver HVAC maintenance to 260 buildings.

The five-year deal with the Bedfordshire-based university includes the maintenance of heating, ventilation, air conditioning units, refrigeration and building management controls across a mix of 260 old and new buildings.

BAM FM’s energy division – BAM Energy – will also support the university’s energy management team to achieve its target of 5% year-on-year reduction in energy consumption.

Kevin Drew, mechanical engineer at Cranfield University’s facilities department, said: “We felt that BAM FM offered the best solutions after giving a precise understanding of the tender documentation at their presentation.”

The contract includes provision for electric vehicles for use by the site-based maintenance team. An energy manager will work with the client to implement energy-reduction measures that will contribute towards the estate’s efficiency targets.

BAM FM managing director Louise Williamson said: “As part of Cranfield University’s alumni, I am delighted both on a personal and professional level that BAM FM has been appointed following a competitive tender process. Our strategy is to expand our presence in the higher education sector and we look forward to developing our experience in partnership with Cranfield University.”

AMSTERDAM (AFN) - Investeerder Aat van Herk heeft zijn belang in bouwer BAM weer iets verkleind. Dat bleek dinsdag uit een melding bij de Autoriteit Financiële Markten (AFM).

Van Herk heeft momenteel een kapitaalbelang en stemrecht in BAM van 9,88 procent. Dat was bij een eerdere melding nog 10,13 procent, zo valt op te maken uit de registers van de toezichthouder.

PEMBROKESHIRE builders and designers were praised at the recent South Wales regional finals of the 2017 Local Authority Building Control Excellence awards.

Entrants from Pembrokeshire won three awards at the event and were highly commended in a further three categories.

The builders represented Pembrokeshire following their success at the local awards.

Geraint Williams Building Contractor, of Blaenffos, won the South Wales award for the best local builder or traditional craftsman for various developments across Pembrokeshire.

BAM Nuttall Limited was also victorious on the night taking the award for best public service building for the new St Davids Lifeboat Station.

Both will now represent South Wales at the Welsh awards to be held in Cardiff later in the year.

Among the winners at the Pembrokeshire awards were:

• Carreg Construction Limited of Croesgoch (for best extension or alteration to an existing home at Arosfa, Stop and Call, Goodwick).

Also highly commended at the South Wales awards:

• Geraint Williams Building Contractor of Blaenffos (best local builder or traditional craftsman). Also won the South Wales award in this category for numerous projects throughout Pembrokeshire.

• F J R Lloyd and Son Limited of Letterston (best change of use or conversion with the former Nolton Mill, Nolton Haven).

Western Solar Limited of Rhoshill, Cilgerran (for the Solar Hamlet development at Glanrhyd). The development was also Highly Commended at the South Wales regional awards.

• BAM Nuttall Limited, of Surrey (best public service building with the St David’s Lifeboat Station). Also successful in securing the award in the South Wales regional event.

• Kinver Kreations Limited of Goodwick (best LABC Partnership).

This award reflects the winner’s longstanding working relationship across a number of projects with Pembrokeshire County Council Building Control.
