Since ~9.20 with a very light volume (< 1 M/h) we are “fighting” around the main “falling-top-line”, which is currently ~2.535, and almost coincides with the crucial decision point M-(2.534). You understand what it means (see former posts)

Onderhand vind ik 3 euro best... Ik heb het na al die tijd wel een beetje gehad met dit aandeel.

ook wel want veel hoger zal het niet komen, ook niet na de verkoop van E-Plus. Mocht dat doorgaan zal € 3,20 - € 3,30 het maximum zijn denk ik

Dan weer ander volatile fonds zoeken voor korte ritjes.

Menig belegger zal blij zijn als KPN dit jaar 3,20 Euro zal bereiken.
Dit wil zeggen dat het aandeel nog ruim 25% moet stijgen.
Ik zie dit niet gebeuren.

Don’t forget, that a very large volume is still sitting (locked) quite above 3.0, and kpn (as some other funds) is a stock with “trading priorities”.... That is current shares exchange dominates by prof traders with relatively short-term objectives (not investors). To outperform, they need a high volatility on diff time-horizons....(incl tactical sub-trends). That’s why (at a lack of any new info) a pure technical pattern trading within the long-term rising channel (see old posts) with the only objectives to optimize ex-ante return.

The only ~40 M shares could be accumulated under ~2.525 with just ~6 M under the lower trend-border in the range ~2.480 - 2.465 (there are NO profitable spec shares under ~2.465). Thus, because of the playing scale ~300 M, one can expect that the active players should try to accumulate a bit more spec shares at current levels.... However, the volume traded at this sensitive level (near the lower long-term trend border) is quite low. So, it may take some time until prof players will be convinced that no more shares are available here and we need to move up. That is a particular specific property of kpn-trading (related to a composite structure of active players), as the ordinary bottoms are formed usually much faster than the tops.

Remember, that i) CS cannot (and is not going to) take kpn over, as well as, it does not make any sense for him to get out, ii) almost everybody knows that the prob for e-plus deal to succeed (with concessions) is quite high, and iii) the active profs may count NOT on actual kpn take-over, but on such rumors..., as a source of volatility (don’t forget recent CS tactical play with 2.40 just to unlock the kpn value)

BRUSSELS, March 31 (Reuters) - European lawmakers will vote
on proposals this week that could severely curtail the ability
of telecoms operators to mine a potentially lucrative source of
revenue - charging content providers more to deliver their
services at faster speeds.
The EU recommendations would enshrine net neutrality, which
means Internet service providers must treat all traffic equally
regardless of the source or content, in European Union law
applicable across 28 countries.
They would also set restrictions on the kind of online
services for which Internet providers can charge extra.
The European Parliament will vote on the recommendations at
noon on Thursday. Lawmakers, facing re-election in May, are
under pressure to pass consumer-friendly measures, but the
package is a radical one - particularly compared to a compromise
agreed by a European Parliament committee earlier this month -
that will have a big impact on industry.
If accepted, the proposals would put Europe ahead of the
United States - where a U.S court struck down federal rules on
net neutrality in January following a challenge by Verizon
Communications - and come as a blow to telecoms firms
faced with their fifth consecutive year of revenue decline.
Telecoms operators have seen their profits badly hit by
price competition in their traditional business of simply
providing phone and Internet access to consumers and are now
fighting for a share of the profits from popular and
bandwidth-hungry services such as video streaming and music
downloads.
Just last week U.S. streaming video services company Netflix
called on Internet service providers such as U.S. broadband
provider Comcast to give free network connections to content
companies, saying this was key to ensuring net neutrality.
But the telecoms companies have spent billions building
networks for such services and want to be able to charge for
different services and speeds, which would also enable them to
invest in continual service upgrades.
Luigi Gambardella, head of the European Telecommunications
Network Operators' Association (ETNO), said the EU lawmakers'
proposals were "technically intrusive rules" which would
threaten the Internet.
"All those businesses and organizations who now rely on
services requiring high quality experience, like HD video on
demand or telemedicine will be affected," he said.
"What is the most worrying, the European internet will have
to be managed in a completely different way than the rest of the
world. Which would clearly harm the competitiveness of the
European digital economy," he said.
ETNO members include Orange, Telecom Italia, Deutsche Telekom and Telefonica.
The current proposal, put forward by Socialist and Green
party MEPs, says: "(Specialised) services shall only be offered
if the network capacity is sufficient to provide them in
addition to Internet access services and they are not to the
detriment of the availability or quality of Internet access
services."
Internet activists say regulators and lawmakers should act
to prevent the creation of a two-tier Internet and must clarify
the kind of online services for which Internet providers can
charge extra.
European Commission spokesman for telecoms policy Ryan Heath
said: "We are committed to net neutrality, to non-discrimination
between packets of data on the Internet. We think our proposal
achieves that."
The proposals need the blessing of the EU's 28 governments
before they can become law. Currently only the Netherlands and
Slovenia have net neutrality legislation in place.

In spite of continuous attempts to break it downwards, we are above the main “falling-top-line” (~2.531 currently) since ~15.00 last Friday, trying to confirm beginning of a new tactical rising sub-trend towards the upper border ~3.0 of our long-term rising channel since May 2013 (after hitting its lower border ~2.48 on Mar 27)

PS. For those interested: orange is trying to break its long-term resistance at ~10.72 for a second time within the last month. The current prob to succeed is higher. When resistance at ~10.72 is broken the nearest target would be ~11.70

Ik kom zojuist thuis en zie dat we zomaar eventjes in het groen hebben gestaan. En dan wordt er op dit forum € 4,00 voorspeld en dat is nergens op gebaseerd

Met € 3,00 mogen we inderdaad heel blij zijn, als dat er ooit komt. Alleen als E-Plus wordt verkocht kan dat zo zijn.

Daarna is er ook geen nieuw KPN want die wordt dan voor een habbekrats overgenomen en verdwijnt qua naam van het Europese toneel.

Ik ben niet negatief gestemd maar velen hebben zich al eerder veel te rijk gerekend. Ik hoop dat ik er vet naast zit want ook dat is in mijn eigen belang

Since noon the hourly traded volume was rising essentially each hour - from ~0.3 M/h at 12.00-13.00 to ~1.9 M/h at 16.00-17.00. That is in a good correlation with rising prices.... Although, the cum volume is still quite low ~8.5 M today.... confirming difficulties for profs (not enough sellers at so low levels) in accumulating bigger volumes at current levels (close to the lower border of our long-term rising channel). This may push the profs to move the acumm a bit higher.... most likely after a couple of attempts hunting for "lower sellers" (see old writings)

PS. After 17.00 the volume was up to ~5.2 M/h (incl. auction)

Rare koersbewegingen. Daardoor blijft het wel leuk in ieder geval. Ik blijf nog even zitten.
