MZ Group will work closely with Sigma Labs management to develop and execute a complete capital markets strategy designed to increase the company's visibility throughout the investment community. Through targeted campaigns, the team will highlight recent business successes in commercializing the company's best-in-class quality assurance solution for the commercial 3D printing industry, including the launch of its breakthrough PrintRite3D software version 5.0, the company's recent partnership with Airbus (air:FP / OTC) for a rapid test and evaluation (RTE) program and the fortification of its balance sheet in July of 2019.

MZ has developed a distinguished reputation as a premier resource for institutional investors, brokers, analysts and private investors. The firm maintains offices worldwide, including New York, Chicago, Minneapolis, San Diego, Aliso Viejo, Austin, Taipei, and São Paulo. Additionally, MZ Group was recently ranked the No. 1 consultancy in Latin America and No. 7 in the world in business communication.

Managing Director and Head of MZ North America's Orange County Office, Chris Tyson, will be advising Sigma Labs in all facets of corporate and financial communications, including the coordination of roadshows and investment conferences across key cities and building brand awareness with all financial and social media outlets.

Chris Tyson, Managing Director of MZ North America, said: "Sigma Labs is well positioned to monetize the rapidly growing commercial 3D printing market, which faces notable quality assurance issues inherent to the additive manufacturing process as it stands today. Their unique software product allows machine operators to correct mistakes before they happen, increasing end product quality and reliability," concluded Tyson.

"We have been tracking the commercial 3D printing industry for some time, looking for a company that targets an unmet market need with a product that has a clear path to commercialization and broader market acceptance," said Ted Haberfield, President of MZ North America. "During our due diligence process, we discovered that Sigma has no direct competition and the integration of its software at the OEM level, creates an incredible licensing opportunity that we found particularly attractive.

Meet Arc Bike II a Radical 3D Printed Aluminium Bike

Lots of bike brands are dabbling with 3D printing these days, whether it’s custom saddles from Specialized or dropouts on the Mason Aspect. The latest project to wing its way into our inbox is the bonkers looking aluminium bike from Amsterdam-based company MX3D. The startup company has used Wire Arc Additive Manufacturing with a robotic arm and bespoke software it has created itself to create the unique aluminium frame and fork called the Arc Bike II. Watch the time-lapse video below and the frame appears to grow out of nothing, it’s quite something to behold.

MX3D’s first bike project used stainless steel, this latest creation employs aluminium to save weight. The complete bike as pictured comes in at a claimed 13.5kg so clearly there is some room for improvement on the weight front. This is still very much technology in its infancy though, so we don’t doubt improvements can and will be made.

Project leader Thomas Van Glabeke said that “It took some time to master aluminium printing, which is more challenging than other metals, but the outcome was a convincing strong and lightweight bike. After the initial technical challenges were solved, it was amazing to see the turnover speed from idea to final product. It is exciting, I can’t wait to see a whole family of these bikes rolling off the MX3D production line!.”

Jaguar Land Rover Present Safe Pair Of Hands with New 3D Printed Glove

Engineers from Jaguar Land Rover are working on the next generation of protective workplace clothing a lightweight 3D printed glove which could help better protect employees from the threat of a musculoskeletal disorder. The 3D glove is designed for people working on the production line, for example those required to fit clips or fasteners into the chassis during assembly of Jaguar and Land Rover’s luxury vehicles. Musculoskeletal disorders, which include more than 100 different types of conditions, make up around 30% of all workplace injuries that result in time off and account for a third of the money paid in compensation to employees. Musculoskeletal disorders affect an estimated 10% of the global population, rising to as much as 40% in certain industries.

Engineers at Jaguar Land Rover’s Gaydon site home to one of the largest 3D printing facilities in the UK saw an opportunity to use the company’s advanced manufacturing expertise to design and 3D print a lattice-style structure which would provide support to reduce muscle fatigue, but also be flexible and comfortable enough to wear during an eight-hour shift. Using 3D computer-aided design software, the team modelled designs in different densities using a variety of materials for testing.

Following feedback from trials, the team is now working on a second-generation prototype. It will include a foam pad made using impact additive D30 a polymer material which absorbs impacts when placed under pressure. This will make the glove suitable for those who fit parts, such as door casings, using the palm of the hand.

Aurora Labs (australie)

Aurora Labs will receive both ongoing income from operations and funds after the first sale of its unique RMP-1 Beta 3D printer to AdditiveNow, a company that it holds a stake in, alongside asset management and engineering giant, Worley.
